Adult Drawing Classes Inspired by Nature
These classes offer a chance to relax and unwind while exploring your creativity and learning new skills. Explore still life botanics, or abstract visualisations with different techniques and materials such as charcoals, pastels, or watercolour.
Beginners and those with experience welcome.
Mondays 7.45pm – 9pm (during school terms)
Book in for the term, or come on a casual basis. $15 a class: cheaper than a movie, and you get to take your artwork home to enjoy! All materials supplied. BYO wine if you fancy.
Boomerang Bags Sunshine, Albion & Ardeer
Boomerang Bags SAA make re-usable shopping bags from recycled materials to promote the move away from single use plastics and reduce plastic pollution.
Everybody is welcome – there are lots tasks to help with including sewing, cutting and pressing fabric, screen printing, sourcing materials, recruiting new members and more.
No need to book – just pop in and say hello!

Craft After Dark
Craft After Dark is a social craft night at KCNH.
Bring along your current project, a new pattern or mending to work on at a community table where you can share your craft skills, ask questions of fellow crafters or learn a new skill.
Not currently working on your own project? Drop by and help out with Boomerang Bags by making a bag or two. We will have fabric, patterns and other materials/tools available on the night.
When: Tuesdays 6-8pm during school terms

Drama with Jessica Gerger
Jessica Gerger has been teaching drama to children for the past ten years and she absolutely loves it!
Come and join her for fun weekly one hour sessions that use games, improvisation and simple texts to explore all areas of drama. Jessica helps her students blossom into confident, creative and focused young people.

KCNH Plarning Group
Learn how to transform waste material destined for landfill into useful items such swag mats for people experiencing homelessness. Plarning is the creation of plastic yarn from single use plastic bags which can then be crocheted into useful items.

Kids Environmental Art Activities
Classes include drawing natural objects, making sculptures out of recycled materials, making natural sculptures with materials such as sticks and leaves, or imaginative drawing classes with themes such as the creek, water usage or indigenous plants.

Kids Purl & Knit
Got crafty kids who love to create? Knitting is great for promoting creativity, concentration and relaxation.
Kids will start out making winter wollies. First up – fingerless gloves! Then a beanie and a scarf.
When: 4.30pm-5pm Tuesdays
Cost: $3 per session, with $10 for a starter kit (containing knitting needles, wool for all three projects and saftey scissors)

Selwyn Night Sky – Astronomy Sessions
Join us for some star gazing in Selwyn Park this autumn!
Identify a variety of deep space objects and learn more about the cosmos with local and amateur astronomer Robert Jackson.
Use a portable Dobsonian reflector telescope to pick out features of the night sky including the planets.
Wednesdays 7-9pm – 11 April, 18 April & 2 May.

Sunshine All-Ages Choir
Sunshine All-Ages Choir at Kororoit Creek Neighbourhood House.
Does your child love to sing? Do you? Does Grandad? Have you been looking for a community choir in Sunshine or nearby?
Finally! Your chance to join other songbirds of all ages in a relaxed, fun environment, making music together with our voices and (don’t tell the kids) even LEARNING a little bit about vocal technique and musical theory.
Thursdays 4pm-4.45pm during school terms and casual entry is by gold coin donation.

Relax, strengthen, stretch, slow down, de-stress & breathe…
SunYoga classes are gentle, slow paced, friendly and fun. Taught by Claire Heywood, (20+ years experience), these Hatha based yoga classes improve general health and wellbeing, and are suitable for all levels, including beginners. You can join anytime.
